Situated 45km west of Urmia, Lake Marmishoo offers unique and beautiful natural sceneries to all visitors. The lake spans over an area of approx. 5 hectares, and is fed by the water from the surrounding springs originating from the mountain slopes.

Situated in the extreme northwest of the country near the Turkey-Iran border, Marmishoo is one of the most beautiful natural lakes of the country, presenting glorious natural sceneries in the heart of the lush highlands west of the province. Marmishoo is the natural habitat of many fish and other water species, and a popular fishing spot for both locals and tourists.
