Ashk Island
Ashk Island is situated south of Kaboodan Island, 40km off the port of Galmankhaneh. With an area of 2115 hectares and an elevation of 1270 meters above the sea level, the island has a fresh water spring and is one of the most fascinating natural habitats for both endemic and migratory bird species such as flamingos and shelducks. The natural flora and vegetation of the island is similar to that of the Kaboodan Island. The Iranian yellow deer is one of the most famous animal species inhabiting this island.
