Sahoolan Cave and Mahabad Dam Tour
Sohoolan cave is one of the identified caves with both water canals and land routes in Iran, second largest after the Alisadr Cave in Hamedan. Situated 43 off Mahabad-Bukan route and a 20km land trip from Bukan, the cave is a wonder of nature and one of the most delightful natural attractions in West Azerbaijan province. Among the fascinating features of the Saholan cave are the amazing stalactites shaped like grape cluster, elephant’s foot, strawberry, mushroom, eel, turtle, jellyfish, lion’s head, dolphin’s head, octopus and a kind of cactus (locally known as Mother-in-law’s Tongue).
The one day Saholan Cave tour also includes a visit to the Mahabad dam. It is one of the most interesting Bari tours, giving the visitors an opportunity to have a look at the amazing and wonderful nature of these parts of the country, and experience a memorable time at one of the most unique natural landscapes in Iran.
